Why Now?

Perhaps, you've been praying and seeking God just as we have been. God's timing is certainly not ours. Have you ever felt that you have been in this long, dark hallway with no way out because all of the doors are locked? We certainly have. Nearly an 8 year long...dark...hallway. We had several doors unlock that were not meant to be opened, and we weren't willing to walk through, until we knew for sure it was God behind it.

We knew God was calling us to "do more." But we were argumentative with God, "why? why us? why now?" We are content with where we are professionally, where our family is, where we are spiritually, and how things are running in our home. It is easy. Life is easy. I was begging for CLEAR confirmation as to what God was calling us to. CLEAR, I mean, God was calling us to a BIG mission and wanted confirmation that it really was him. You know, you've been there before. You want to make sure it is God!

One day, my little boy and I were playing with his Dinosaur bones and kinetic sand. We had to build the dinosaur skeleton after digging them out of the sand. We began to dust the sand off and connect each bone until we formed a T-Rex. I said to my son, "Look bub, we just built that out of a pile of bones!" In which he then responded, "so cool, mom". It really was so cool.

That night I went to bed and couldn't get those bones and the sand out of my mind. God kept bringing scriptures' to my mind out of Ezekiel 37,

“Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life."

It was at that moment, I realized God was giving us one last visual of what he was calling us too, with four simple words, "dead dry bones arise." We knew what we had to do, OBEY. So the questions began with God, "How is it possible? How do we do this? Where do we begin? It will cost us thousands, how will we pay for this?"

God is good at keeping his promises and he reminded me of things I had been praying for personally for my family, my children, my husband, and he spoke so clearly to me, "If we will obey and take the first step, he will meet us and follow through with the answers to my prayers." He was/is testing our obedience. He began to remind me of the calling he placed on our life and the scriptures started to flood in, "All things are possible, He works to the good of those who are called according, The plans I have are to prosper,..." God made us for His purposes way before we ever realized it. “We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” -Ephesians 2:10

So many people have dried up, settled for a "new normal," & accepted the enemy's attack of a pandemic, and quite frankly, have just lost a love for Jesus. Our time is short, we must reach souls for the kingdom. We must all put our hands on the plow, dig down deep, shake the "Sand" off and breath fresh air into these dead, dry bones. It's time to be about the Father's Business! We are ready to join the mission! Are you?
